Welcome to QuizGPT. These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of QuizGPT's website, applications, and services. By accessing or using our Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use the Service. We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time, and your continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of any changes.
Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use QuizGPT. If you are between 13 and 18 years old, you represent that you have your parent or legal guardian's permission to use the Service.
By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms and comply with all applicable local, state, national, and international laws and regulations.
Account Registration
While you can use basic features of QuizGPT without an account, certain features require registration through Google OAuth authentication.
When you create an account, you agree to:
- Provide accurate, current, and complete information
- Maintain the security of your account credentials
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
- Accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account
- Not share your account with others or create multiple accounts
License and Service Usage
Subject to your compliance with these Terms, QuizGPT grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Service for your personal, non-commercial educational purposes.
Permitted Uses
- Create flashcards for personal study and learning
- Use AI-generated content for educational purposes
- Access the Service through supported web browsers
- Save and organize your generated flashcards
Prohibited Uses
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
- Violate any laws, regulations, or third-party rights
- Attempt to bypass usage limits or access restrictions
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service
- Use automated scripts, bots, or scrapers without permission
- Overload or interfere with the Service's infrastructure
- Upload malicious code, viruses, or harmful content
- Impersonate others or provide false information
- Harass, abuse, or harm other users
- Collect or harvest user data without consent
- Use the Service to create content that violates our content policies
- Resell, redistribute, or commercialize the Service without authorization
Usage Limits and Fair Use
To ensure fair access and maintain service quality, QuizGPT implements usage limits:
- Guest: 20,000 characters per generation, 10 generations per day, and 10 generations every 4 hours.
- Free (signed in): 40,000 characters per generation, 20 generations per day, and 20 generations every 4 hours.
- Pro: 80,000 characters per generation and 1,000 successful generations per subscription period.
- Rate Limiting: Automated rate limiting prevents excessive requests.
Content and Intellectual Property
Your Content
You retain ownership of any content you submit to QuizGPT. By submitting User Content, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, process, and display your content solely to provide and improve the Service.
You represent and warrant that you own or have the necessary rights to all User Content and that your content does not violate any third-party rights or applicable laws.
AI-Generated Content
Flashcards generated by our AI are provided for your educational use. While we strive for accuracy, AI-generated content may contain errors, inaccuracies, or inconsistencies. You are responsible for verifying the accuracy of generated content before relying on it for important purposes.
You may use AI-generated flashcards for personal study. Commercial redistribution of AI-generated content requires our prior written permission.
QuizGPT Intellectual Property
The Service, including its design, features, code, algorithms, branding, and documentation, is owned by QuizGPT and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of our Service without express permission.
Content Policy
You may not use QuizGPT to create or generate content that:
- Promotes violence, hatred, or discrimination
- Contains explicit sexual content or child exploitation material
- Infringes on intellectual property rights
- Violates privacy or publicity rights
- Spreads misinformation or disinformation
- Facilitates illegal activities
- Contains malware or harmful code
- Harasses, bullies, or threatens individuals

Third-Party Services
QuizGPT integrates with third-party services including:
- Firebase Authentication with Google OAuth for sign-in
- OpenAI or DeepSeek for AI processing
- Cloudflare for data storage and hosting
- Creem for subscription billing and payment processing
- Google Analytics for usage analytics
Subscriptions, Billing, and Refunds
QuizGPT Pro is a paid subscription that raises your character limit and gives you an allocation of successful generations per billing period.
Payments are processed by Creem, which acts as the merchant of record for the transaction. When you subscribe, you authorize Creem to charge your selected payment method the applicable fee, currently US$3.99 per month, and to charge that fee again automatically at the start of every billing period until you cancel.
- Billing period: Subscriptions renew automatically each month on the same date as your original purchase.
- Cancellation: You may cancel at any time from your account or by contacting us. Your Pro access continues until the end of the period you have already paid for, and the subscription will not renew afterwards.
- Refunds: Except where a refund is required by applicable law, payments are non-refundable. Canceling stops future charges but does not refund the current or any previous billing period.
- Failed payments: If a renewal payment fails, we may retry the charge. Pro access may continue briefly while the failure is resolved and returns to the Free tier once that grace period ends.
- Price changes: We may change the subscription price. We will give advance notice, and any new price applies from your next billing period.
- Usage metering: Pro usage is measured in successful generations and characters within each verified billing period. Unused allowance does not carry over to the next period.
Disclaimers and Limitations of Liability
Service Provided As Is
The Service is provided as is and as available without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free from viruses or other harmful components. We do not warrant the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of AI-generated content.
Educational Tool Disclaimer
QuizGPT is an educational tool designed to assist learning. It should not be used as a substitute for professional academic advice, tutoring, or expert guidance. Always verify important information with authoritative sources, especially for academic assessments, professional certifications, or medical or legal topics.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, QuizGPT shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost profits, data loss, or business interruption arising from your use of or inability to use the Service.
Our total liability for any claims related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose, or 100 US dollars, whichever is greater.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless QuizGPT from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses including reasonable attorneys' fees arising from:
- Your use or misuse of the Service
- Your violation of these Terms
- Your violation of any third-party rights
- Your User Content
Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, for any reason, including:
- Violation of these Terms
- Fraudulent, abusive, or illegal activity
- Extended periods of inactivity
- Legal or regulatory requirements
Changes to the Service
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of the Service at any time, with or without notice. We may also change pricing, features, or usage limits. We are not liable for any modifications, suspensions, or discontinuations of the Service.
Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which QuizGPT operates, without regard to conflict of law principles.
Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with applicable arbitration rules, except that you may bring claims in small claims court if they qualify.
You waive any right to participate in class-action lawsuits or class-wide arbitration against QuizGPT.
General Provisions
Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and QuizGPT regarding the Service.
Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
Waiver
Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not constitute a waiver of that right or provision.
Assignment
You may not assign or transfer these Terms or your rights under these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign these Terms without restriction.
